SAT / ACT Blitz

Our Guarantee

Most tutors cannot guarantee results because they themselves did not score well. They don’t understand what really drives SAT and ACT success.

Whetstone’s system was built by elite tutors who scored in the top 0.1% of test takers. Using strategies like active recall, the Feynman method, and high-accountability cohorts, we ensure every effort a student makes is intentional and effective.

This gives us the confidence to make an unbeatable offer: Follow our method, and if you can’t increase your SAT score 200+ points or ACT by 4+ points, we will work with you for free until you do.

Tutoring FAQs

  • Some colleges may say they're test-optional, but in practice, strong SAT or ACT scores still carry significant weight—especially for applicants from competitive regions like New York. Submitting a stellar score can set you apart, while not submitting one can raise questions. In today’s admissions landscape, “test-optional” often still means “test-preferred.”

  • The best time to start studying is early—ideally 3–6 months before your test date. Starting early allows you to identify your best-fit test (SAT vs. ACT), build a consistent study routine, and track your progress over time. Regular practice and review are key to reaching your target score. The sooner you begin, the more time you’ll have to improve.

  • Our in-person SAT and ACT tutoring sessions take place in New York City at the Harvard Club in Midtown Manhattan. Our tutors are also able to travel within the Metro area.
